Sammauroindustria was founded in 2000 in order to preserve and promote the 'sammaurese' culture (the culture of San Mauro) and with the intention to make the most of its identity.

During the year it organizes:
June: POETRY CONTEST “Giovanni Pascoli Award” for poetry published in Italian and in dialect– Biennial award to the career 
July: International Competition for young stylists “A TALENT FOR SHOES”
10 August: PASCOLI'S TRIAL

Sammauroindustria was established thanks to an agreement between the Municipal Administration and six companies, among the most important in the area: Baiocchi S.r.l., Casadei S.p.A., IVAS S.p.A., Pollini S.p.A., Sergio Rossi S.p.A., Vicini S.p.A.. and since 2003 the CERCAL centre.
Its most important aim is to establish a museum dedicated to fashion, customs and footwear that will be situated at the Villa Torlonia, where it will be shown all about the most important activity of the area (San Mauro and other town nearby).
