Kind: it has been declared moral board by the decree 24.02.1987

It organizes events: most of them concern the poet Giovanni Pascoli and his works and take place during all the year, in definite periods:
January: Academic Year Opening with celebrating conference about Giovanni Pascoli.
February/April: Updating course of Italian for teachers, expecially for high school teachers. Students learning to get the leaving certificate can be admitted to the courses too: the course is free and recognized by the Local Education Office of Forlì-Cesena.
July: Performance and comment of some Pascoli's poems in the garden of Pascoli's House.
The Academy usually advertises a three-yearly competitive examination for a degree thesis about Pascoli.

The Academy was born in 1982 with the aim of honouring and illustrating Giovanni Pascoli's memory and works, in the context of Italian and World Literature. The Academy promotes cultural events, conferences, studies about the Poet and his Poetry and protects and sets a high value on the places of Pascoli's Poetry.
The Academy is a non-profit-making organization.
The members of the Academy are elected with a final judgement by the general Assembly (composed of 24 members), according to some acquired merits. Publication: annual publication of 'Rivista Pascoliana' and a series of 'I quaderni di San Mauro'.
