Description
Dear Guest, the Municipality of San Mauro Pascoli has established the tourist tax with City Council resolution no. 6 of 21 March 2013. Proceeds will finance tourist action with the aim of making your future stays more enjoyable.
WHO HAVE TO PAY
The tax is applied on overnight stays of guests, who are not-residents in the Municipality of San Mauro Pascoli from 15th June to 31st August.
HOW TO PAY
Tourists shall pay the tax to the accommodation manager, who must issue a receipt for all registered proof of payment.
HOW MUCH TO PAY
The tourist tax has been established with City Council resolution no. 32/2015 in the following amounts (per person per day):
- 1st segment: 3-stars and above hotels and tourist residence: € 1,50
- 2nd segment: 2-stars and below hotels and tourist residence, holiday homes, guesthouses, houses and apartments, furnished apartments for tourist rent, Bed and Breakfast, Room and Breakfast, farm holidays and other accommodation facilities that are not mentioned in the other groups: € 1,00
- 3rd segment: campsites: € 0,40
The tax is applied to the full extent of five consecutive nights.
WHO HAVE NOT TO PAY
The following exemptions are applied:
a. Young people up to 18
b. The employees of the operator of the accommodation practices there work
c. Students who stay for study purposes or for periods of vocational training in schools or training institutions established in the municipality of San Mauro Pascoli
d. Those staying in the town of San Mauro Pascoli in social emergency declared by civil defences or mayor.
e. Residents in the Municipality of San Mauro Pascoli.
SANCTIONS
In cases of failure, delayed or partial payment of the tax, the Municipality of San Mauro Pascoli will recover the non-tax paid, plus penalties and interest, in accordance with current legislation.
