FIDO D'AMARE - DOGS AT THE BEACH

TRANSIT ON THE BEACH

Dogs are allowed access to the beach from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, provided that they are kept on a non-extendable leash and, if necessary, equipped with a suitable muzzle.

DOGS' BATHING - FIDO D'AMARE

In San Mauro Mare, an area called "Fido d'Amare" has been created where dogs are allowed to swim. This beach area is equipped with all the necessary services for our four-legged friends, making it completely pet-friendly: it's an area where dogs are not only permitted but also welcomed.

The area is located approximately at Via Ruggero Pascoli 11 and everyone can make use of it.

HOURS AND USAGE RULES - FIDO D'AMARE

Dogs are allowed to swim in the designated sea area mentioned above from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The bathing must be supervised, with dogs on a leash under the care of the owner/keeper. A maximum of 5 dogs are allowed to swim simultaneously, each for a maximum of 10 minutes.

HYGIENE AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS - FIDO D'AMARE

To be admitted for swimming in the sea, dogs must have a veterinary certificate of "good health" issued within the last 30 days. Any solid waste must be promptly removed by the owner/keeper and deposited in the appropriate waste containers.

ACCESS TO THE SEA

The owner/keeper is allowed to transit on the shoreline with the dog, only while keeping the dog on a leash and solely for reaching the designated area for dogs' swimming, in the section directly facing it.

PENALTIES

Transgressors of the regulations mentioned above will be punished according to article 7/bis of Legislative Decree 267/2000, with an administrative fine ranging from €25.00 (twenty-five euros) to €500.00 (five hundred euros)
