Description
The consortium "Orto di Pascoli" is an idea linked to a consolidated tradition that is to produce with consumers in mind, in a precise and ethical way. Under the sign of the great Pascoli's poetry, that was born in a strong agricultural context, the farmers of San Mauro Pascoli joined to defend their products.
With the participation of the Administration, as a supporting member, and about fifteen farms was born in 2006 the consortium vegetable producers "Orto di Pascoli", the name from the title of the poem of the illustrious poet, which has as its main purpose to enhance and promote horticultural products, in particular THE LATTUGA.
The consortium aims to highlight, in collaboration with the University of Bologna, which are the chemical, biological and organoleptic elements that make the salad grown in the area particular and unique in taste. It is, therefore, also a commercial challenge, linked to the search for quality and integrity of a product that growers know to be unique and original.
